Robotics engineers help to promote industrial transformation

Robots are playing an important role in the real-life scenarios of industrial transformation and upgrading, and they are capable of performing heavy, dangerous or complex work to improve productivity and economic efficiency.

Robotics engineers and technicians, as one of the 18 new occupations announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security in June 2022, are a crucial chain in the research and development of robots.

Making robots understand people’s instructions and perform tasks correctly is engineers’ important role.

Na Peng is a robotics research and development engineer, responsible for the development of industrial robot control systems in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province.

Na and his colleagues are tasked with enriching the types of industrial robots, improving their usability, and meeting user customization needs.

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and big data, how to better integrate artificial intelligence with industrial robots has become a new field for robotics development engineers.

Na said, “Using artificial intelligence well will make human-robot interaction more convenient.”

Significant changes are expected in the future of industrial development and upgrading, driven by rapid development of new quality productive forces, deep integration of artificial intelligence, big data, and industrial robots, as well as doing well in robot R&D upgrades, Xinhua News Agency reported.
